The forensic alcohol unit of the San Diego Sheriffs Department analyzes blood samples taken from DUI suspects throughout San Diego County to determine BAC levels. Toxicologists from the unit also testify as expert witnesses at DUI trials throughout San Diego County.
San Diego City Forensic Alcohol and Narcotics Unit
Description: The San Diego Police Forensic Alcohol and Narcotics Unit provides analysis of blood samples from DUI arrestees to measure BAC levels, and to determine the amount and nature of controlled substances in the sample.
